THE GUPDATE – Capitols Ice Hockey, Beer, Rock-n-Roll and (quite possibly) $3,000 Dollars In Your Pocket

How would you like to watch hockey, drink beer, rock out, and (if you are lucky) win $3,000? It doesn’t get much better than that, in my opinion.

On Saturday February 11, 2012, from 8 to 11 PM we will be rocking the Capitols Ice Arena (2616 Pleasant View Rd, Middleton WI) for the Madison Capitols Hockey Association Hockey Benefit to raise money for the Youth Hockey Association (do it for the children! But also the hockey, beer, rock-n-roll and CASH!).

The benefit goes all weekend, but the prize drawing is during our 3 hour rocking set of tunes on Saturday 2/11. Let me re-iterate: Hockey, Beer, and Rock, with a chance for BIG MONEY.

The event, hosted by the Madison Capitols Hockey Association, is open to the public and raffle tickets are $10 (11 for $100).

42 cash prizes will be drawn ranging from $100 (14 chances to win) up to the grand prize of $3,000.

Get this…YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN (although you, or someone you know, does have to be there to buy a raffle ticket).

We are going to invest a chunk of our rock fee in raffle tix, I can tell you that.

Plus, there’s hockey, beer, and rock-n-roll. So even if you don’t win, you still win. And so do the children! Nice, huh?

So get out your calendar and mark Saturday 2/11/12 as SACROSANCT. Because that is what hockey, beer, rock, and cash is in ANY (in)sane person’s book.

p.s. Incidentally, I took that hockey picture myself. Pretty sweet huh? I love hockey. If I didn’t fear pain so much, I would probably play it.
